Carlacia Grant, a New Haven native, stars as Chloe in the hit series "Outer Banks." The show dominated Netflix's ratings last week with more than 62 million hours watched after the first half of season four was released on Monday, Oct. 10. That's 20 million more hours than the second-place series "Nobody Wants This: Season 1."

"Outer Banks" follows a band of down-and-out teens from North Carolina's Outer Banks who search for legendary treasures like Blackbeard's booty and El Dorado, the famed lost city of gold,  all the while being chased by others who want to steal the riches for themselves.

Grant joined the cast in season two of the series when the wayward hunters head to the Bahamas, and she's remained on the series as a main cast member ever since.

The show's Wikipedia describes Chloe as "confident, fearless, and clever yet also playful and fun-loving. A Nassau girl and a formidable artful dodger." Grant speaks with a heavy Bahamian accent in the series.

"Outer Banks" was the breakout role for the 33-year-old Grant, who began her television acting career in the 2016 remake of "Roots." Before joining the small screen, she was a pageant queen who traveled the globe, according to her IMDB profile

Judging from her Instagram account, she still carries that wanderlust. She often shares her adventures around the world with her 1.4 million followers.

Netflix split the fourth season of "Outer Banks" into two five-episode halves. The second half premieres on Nov. 7.
